Data protection

Thank you for your interest in our offer. We protect your personal data and explain in the privacy statement how we operate, what we do with it, for which purposes we use it, which legal bases apply and which rights you can assert.

Collection and processing of personal data
  1. When you visit our web shop, we store certain data about your surfing behaviour, the browser and operating system you use, the date and time of your visit, the access status (e.g. whether you were able to call up a website or received an error message), the use of website functions, any search terms you entered, the frequency with which you call up individual websites, the name of files called up, the amount of data transferred, the website from which you arrived at our website and the website you visit from our website, regardless of whether you click on the links on our website or directly enter a domain in the input field of the same tab (or window) of your browser in which you opened our website.
  2. You are under no obligation to transfer your personal data and do so on an entirely voluntary basis. Certain functions in the website are dependent on the transfer of personal data. Transfer of personal data based on social plug-ins
  1. Our website may also contain content offered by third parties. When you click on such an offer, we transfer the required amount of data to the respective provider (e.g. the indication that you found this offer with us and any further information you have indicated for this purpose on our website).
  2. When we use so-called 'social plug-ins' from social networks such as Facebook, Instagram on our website, we integrate them as follows:
    When visiting our website, the social plug-ins are deactivated by default, i.e. no data exchange is transmitted to the operators of these networks. If you do wish to use one of these networks, click on the respective social plug-in to activate a direct connection to the server of the respective network and make the exchange of data available.
    If you have a user account with the network and are logged in there at the time you activate the social plug-in, the network may assign your visit to our website to your user account. If you do not want this, you must log out of the network before the social plug-in is activated.
    When you activate a social plug-in, the network transfers the content available as a result directly to your browser, which integrates this content into our website. In this situation, there may also be data transfers initiated and driven by the respective social network. Your connection to a social network, the data transfer between the network and your system and your interactions on this platform are exclusively subject to the data protection policy of the respective network.
    The social plug-in will remain active until you deactivate it or clear your cookies.
  3. When you click on the link to the offered content or activate a social plug-in, personal data may end up with providers in countries outside the European Economic Area, which, from the point of view of the European Union ("EU") according to the EU standard, do not provide an "adequate level of protection" for the processing of personal data. Please bear this in mind before clicking a link or activating a social plug-in and thus transferring your data.
Transfer of personal data to third parties; partners/suppliers, web shop

Our website may contain links to one of our partners/suppliers by means of a hyperlink. When you click on such information, you will be directed to another legal entity. There is no exchange of information or data of personal data between servers. All your interactions on third-party platforms, partners/suppliers of Garage Ed.Miers BV are governed solely and exclusively by the data protection policies of those respective networks.

Processing of usage data; use of analysis tools
  1. We want to tailor the content of our website to your interests as much as possible and thus improve our offer for you. In order to identify preferences and particularly popular parts of the website, we use the following analysis tool: Google Analytics
  2. When using these analysis tools, data may be transferred to servers in the US and processed there. Please note here the following: from the European Union point of view, there is no 'adequate level of protection' for the processing of personal data in the US that corresponds to the EU standard. However, this level of protection can be replaced for certain companies by certification in line with the so-called 'EU-US Privacy Shield'.
  3. If you do not want us to collect and process information about your visit to our website by means of the aforementioned analysis tools, you can object to this at any time, which also applies for the future ('opt-out').

Legal bases for processing

Retention period
